Weekend in town
It was a nice quiet weekend around here. They always seem to be nice from the end of March all the way through October in the area. On Friday, we went out to cedar house lanes for rock ‘n’ bowl. We had a blast. Not a good bowler but I strive for 150-160. We won some cash and free games, and had a couple beers with friends.
Saturday we took a drive out to Manlius and also saw Alice in Wonderland in the afternoon. Overall pretty good, not my favorite story of all time, but almost perfectly done–very charming. One thing I would say…don’t bother with Shutter Island (Look–I didn’t even give it a link). Oh, and for lunch–Brooklyn Pickle! Cajun Turkey to be exact. By far the best sandwich in Syracuse.
This morning we went up to Marcellus high and I learned how to play a little field hockey. Interesting, but fun game. If it was a little more of a contact sport it would be really fun! It’s nice to live in this community and be able to use the beautiful facilities we are so lucky to have!
Looking forward to the warmer months and being able to truly enjoy the beauty and majesty of these towns. And really looking forward to being on the lake…nothing like it! Soccer game tonight, wish us luck! Over and out.
